Last Day in Senegal

The view from the hotel site at http://www.aximbeach.com
looking down onto their beachside restaurant. The atmosphere and location was so nice I stayed here for two weeks! This was the best place I stayed at while in Ghana :) and for only $9USD a night, breakfast included...

I had to wait 3 hours for the lighting to be just right for the water stream shots...but I think it was worth it :)

Wli, Ghana (Agumatsa Falls Park)

Looking out from the garden and pavilion at the Waterfall Lodge, Wli, Ghana. This new travel lodge is run by a German couple, Sabine and Bennet, who were on their way on the classic Morocco-South Africa road trip when they stopped in and fell in love with Wli and the Agumatsa Falls... this is the view they wake up to every morning. Note the high waterfall deep in the background!

My favorite photo from Ghana; this is the kind of photo that takes some work: a steady tripod is a necessary and 8 - 10 seconds of exposure means you must wait until the lighting is right and the breeze is light so the only thing moving during the exposure is the water!!!

On a morning hike around the foothills outside Wli village, Ghana. This is from one of my last days in Ghana, because those mountains in the background are shared between Ghana and Togo; I walked to and crossed the border from Wli... stayed in Lome, Togo for about 5 days but no photo opportunities to note...

Well, today is my last day in West Africa for this trip... Here are a few shots from the last month or so... I'll write more and post photos from my next destination... Cascais, Portugal!!!

See you later West Africa,

Chris

Awesome pictures Chris. Glad to hear you're doing well and enjoying your trip. Keep livin' the dream. Things are going good back here. No hurricanes yet.
