Finally...Some decent photos and some more sunshine!

Saw the sun for the first time in 8 days the other day; and had a mini sun-worshipping ceremony. It promptly went away just as quickly as it came, but today we were graced with some sun and rain, with temps slightly above freezing I imagine (yesterday we had some snow flurries).
I was determined to get some better photos today than my debut shots from my first photo-cycling outing last week. Today I got some decent photos from the Jubilee Park, on the east side of Brussels, as well as the famous Grand Market in the heart of Brussels. By the time I was done messing around with my photos, I had to sit my gloves on the heater in the bathroom to bring some circulation to my quickly numbing fingers; the toes would have to wait until my 4pm lunch break. Sooner or later, I'll figure out the best way to load photos; right now, I'm having a bit of a problem uploading the pics.
Tomorrow, we are off to Brugge for a day trip and perhaps more photo opps...
It's been fun enough cycling around the city, even with the occasional rainfall, badgery drivers, and the (wet) cobblestone streets. For all my fixed-gear bredren out there in South Beach, 48:15 is perfect for around here; if I rode 48:13 I would be doing more walking and less riding, as there are some decent hills around town. I'll probably look to get into the rural countryside where there are less cars, potholes, tram-tracks, opening car doors, and irate afternoon traffic cops. Most of the locals are nice enough, though, and since my French is currently non-existent, I've been able to get by pretty well with English and Caveman (pointie-talkie), and until my French gets better, those are the only two languages I'll be speaking in Belgium.
